AfCFTA signs landmark deal for digital trade corridor

The AfCFTA secretariat and Quest Ghana Limited yesterday announced the signing of a definitive joint venture agreement to establish the AfCFTA Digital Trade Corridor.

This continental initiative will build digital infrastructure to power intra‑African commerce through the creation of a digital African Minerals and Commodities Exchange, a digital marketplace, and a cross‑border interoperable payment system.

The Republic of Seychelles will provide sovereign support for the joint venture, which will be headquartered in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles.
