Seychelles tests health readiness in second JEE

The Public Health Authority of the Ministry of Health is hosting a five‑day workshop for Seychelles’ second Joint External Evaluation (JEE), bringing together national and international experts to assess the country’s capacity to prevent, detect, and respond rapidly to public health threats, in line with the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005).

At the opening ceremony yesterday at the Savoy Resort & Spa, the objectives were outlined: reviewing and validating country capacity scores across technical areas, identifying strengths, gaps, and best practices, developing actionable recommendations to strengthen health security, and informing the National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS). Findings will directly shape Seychelles’ roadmap for future preparedness.
