Students shine in shark awareness contest

Sharks and rays took centre stage as 22 teams from schools and post-secondary institutions across Seychelles went head-to-head in the country’s first televised shark and ray quiz competition, organised by the Save Our Seas Foundation Seychelles to mark Shark Awareness Day.

Broadcast on TeleSesel, the competition was designed to make learning about sharks and rays more engaging while encouraging young Seychellois to deepen their understanding of the species found in the archipelago and their importance to the marine environment.
