1st pan-African Games Egypt 2020

Team Seychelles off to defend our flag at first ever pan-African Games

 

The Seychelles team at the first ever Special Olympics Pan-African Games which will take place in Cairo, Egypt from January 23-31, 2020 left the country yesterday more determined than ever to fly the country’s flag high.

The first ever Games will take place under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Elsisi.

Seychelles will be represented at the inaugural Games by 20 athletes from Mahé, Praslin and La Digue who will compete in five-a-side football, bocce and track and field.

Athletes: Michael Andrew, Ronny Romain, Bernard Barbé, Michel Jouaneau, Steven Mothé, Joshua Sophie, Ralph Abel, Daniel Choppy (football), Maryse Berlouis, Christel Botsoie, Leonard Morel – from La Digue, Faisal Athanase – from Praslin (bocce), Jude Bibi – from La Digue, Rico Freminot, Jean-Yves Marengo, Regis Duval, Rosie Coralie, Veronique Jean, Jenifer Romain, Maggie Estico – from Praslin (athletics).
