STA members, ZilAce ExCo call for investigation into alleged discrimination, abuse of power by STA ExCo member in player selection

Concerned members of the Seychelles Tennis Association, together with the ZilAce Tennis Club executive committee, are calling for an urgent and independent investigation into the alleged repeated exclusion of young players who train with ZilAce from national representation and international development opportunities.

The concerns also extend to the authority under which certain selection decisions have allegedly been made and communicated, including concerns regarding the mandate of a current Seychelles Tennis Association (STA) executive committee member who is reportedly acting as president of the association. Questions have been raised as to whether that position and the exercise of the associated powers are consistent with the STA’s governing documents and the requirements of the Seychelles Associations Act 2022. These matters require proper and independent examination.
