Cabinet backs national artificial intelligence framework for education

The Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development last week secured Cabinet approval for the National Artificial Intelligence in Education Framework 2026–2030.

The 21-page policy sets out how artificial intelligence (AI) will be introduced across all state schools in Seychelles. Published in March 2026 and endorsed by the World Bank, it translates a presidential commitment to science and technology into operational detail. More blueprint than celebration, it provides technical and regulatory rules for controlled adoption.
