Seychellois swimmers, athletes fail to go beyond first round
No Seychellois athlete managed to go beyond the first round of their events yesterday at the ongoing XXIII Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
In swimming at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, former Sportslady of the Year Aaliyah Palestrini and Dorianne Bristol swam in the third of nine heats of the women’s 50m freestyle.
Palestrini clocked 28.67 seconds to finish fifth, followed in sixth place by Bristol with 28.69 seconds. Nigerian Dorcas Oka placed first in this heat with a time of 27.27 seconds.
