Marine Police strengthen surveillance skills

Five officers from the Marine Police Unit have successfully completed a joint training programme alongside partner agencies, including the Regional Coordination Operations Centre (RCOC) and the Seychelles Coast Guard.

The training focused on strengthening capabilities in maritime surveillance, monitoring, and the effective use of the IORIS platform – an essential tool for information sharing and coordination among maritime stakeholders.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in enhancing Seychelles’ maritime security framework. It also contributes directly to ongoing efforts toward the establishment of the Maritime Operations Coordination Centre (MOCC), which will further reinforce inter-agency collaboration and operational efficiency in safeguarding the nation’s waters.
