Aphi hosts awareness session with National Assembly
The Association for People with Hearing Impairment (Aphi) conducted an awareness session with members and staff of the National Assembly on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The aim was to provide insights into the challenges, culture, and ongoing developments of the deaf community in Seychelles.
Representing Aphi were chairperson Anita Gardner, deaf teacher Shana David, and teacher Julienne Low‑Hong.
The session was hosted under the ‘A Parliament for All’ project, funded through a grant under the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disabilities (CPwD) Capital Investment Fund of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
