Young Seychellois players take on Africa's best in Cape Town

 The Seychelles Chess Federation has sent a talented team of young players to represent the country at the World School Team Championship, African continental stage, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa.

Taking place from July 6 to 12, the tournament brings together school teams from across the continent, providing young chess players with an opportunity to compete at an international level while gaining valuable experience against some of Africa's strongest junior talents.

The World School Team Championship, organised under the auspices of the International Chess Federation (Fide), together with the International School Chess Federation (ISCF), aims to promote chess among school-aged players through high-level competition, educational activities and cultural exchange.
