Financial Stability Report presented to National Assembly
The Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles, Caroline Abel, has presented the Financial Stability Report 2025 to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Azarel Ernesta. The presentation was made in accordance with Section 11(1) of the Financial Stability Act, 2023.
Governor Abel was accompanied by First Deputy Governor Brian Commettant, head of the Financial Surveillance Division Samantha Esparon, chief executive Pascal Morin, director Philip Moustache, and senior communications officer Sharon Uranie.
During the meeting, the governor explained that the report provides an overview of key financial and non‑financial risks that could affect the stability of Seychelles’ financial system.
She noted that it also outlines measures and initiatives adopted by regulatory authorities to monitor and manage these risks effectively.
Discussions further touched on the electronic submission of the report, which the Speaker welcomed as a positive step towards more sustainable practices.
In closing, Hon. Ernesta thanked the governor and her delegation for presenting the report and wished them continued success in their work.
