Seychelles marks 50 years of independence with diplomatic reception at State House
State House was filled with pride and celebration on Monday night as the government of Seychelles hosted a grand reception to honour 50 years of longstanding diplomatic relations with its foreign partners. The event formed part of the country’s Golden Jubilee Independence celebrations.
In attendance were President Patrick Herminie, Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Azarel Ernesta, Cabinet ministers, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Rony Govinden, President of the Court of Appeal Justice Anthony Fernando, members of the National Assembly, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and other distinguished guests.
