Significance of yoga and meditation
Yoga, in simple terms, is a wellness practice for the body, while meditation focuses on keeping the mind and spirit fit and healthy. The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit, meaning “union” or “addition”. Together, yoga and meditation bring discipline to body, mind, and spirit, harmonising these three components so the body functions efficiently, the mind remains calm and logical, and the spirit is uplifted. This equilibrium spreads positive energy and enables both physical and mental actions to be performed with clarity and perfection.
