Sand, sport and celebration as tournament gets underway
The Seychelles Independence Day International Beach Soccer Tournament got underway yesterday at the Roche Caïman Beach Soccer Arena, bringing together local and international teams as part of celebrations marking the country's 50th anniversary of Independence.
Jointly organised by the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) and the National Day Celebrations Organising Committee, the tournament was officially launched in the presence of Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, Principal Minister Wallace Cosgrow, cabinet ministers and other distinguished guests.
