China-Seychelles friendship celebrated through photography

The enduring friendship between China and Seychelles was celebrated through art, culture, and shared memories at the opening of the photography exhibition ‘China–Seychelles Friendship Through the Lens’, held on Tuesday at the National Library of Seychelles.

Organised by the University of Seychelles and the Confucius Institute, the exhibition forms part of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Seychelles and the 2026 China–Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.

Featuring 110 photographs selected from more than 200 submissions by 43 photographers, the exhibition presents a visual narrative of bilateral ties across seven thematic sections: ‘Paradise Unveiled’, ‘Discovering China’, ‘Echoes of Culture’, ‘The Poetry of Everyday Life’, ‘A Learning Journey in China’, ‘Strengthening Partnerships’, and ‘Bridges of Friendship’.
