CBS to administer new five-year Treasury Bond for government financing

 

The Central Bank of Seychelles has announced that it will administer the issuance of a new five-year Treasury Bond on behalf of the government of Seychelles, providing a chance for eligible investors to take part in government financing while earning a fixed return over the medium term.

The bond, which carries a fixed annual interest rate of 3.80%, will be issued through an auction scheduled for June 22, 2026. Applications for taking part opened on June 15 and will close at 8.30am on the day of the auction.

According to the prospectus issued by Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), the indicative amount for the bond is R150m, although the final amount issued will be determined by the Allotment Committee following the auction process.
