Excitement builds as National Day Beach Volleyball Tournament gets underway

 The National Day Beach Volleyball Tournament got off to a lively start last night at Paradise Arena, bringing together volleyball players, fans, and members of the community for three days of sun, sand, and spirited competition as part of Seychelles' National Day celebrations. The tournament was officially spiked off by Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, who praised the organisers and participants for their contribution to the country’s sporting culture.

During the opening ceremony, Penny Belmont, vice-chairperson of the National Day Celebration Organising Committee, highlighted the role of sports in fostering teamwork and collective effort. “Volleyball reminds us that objectives are attained more easily when we work together,” she said.
