Abdel Assary crowned in Seychelles’ biggest music showdown

The Great Battle of the Crown reached a thrilling conclusion on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the International Conference Centre Seychelles. The grand finale brought together six outstanding finalists, each delivering passionate performances before a panel of judges that included British High Commissioner Jeff Glekin, UK artist Josh Daniel, and local artists Isham Rath and Taniah.

At just 15 years old, Abdel Assary emerged as the overall champion, securing not only the coveted crown but also the People’s Choice Award, thanks to overwhelming support from audiences on Facebook and Instagram. His consistent performances throughout the competition and his ability to connect with both judges and the public made him a standout contestant.
