Muccia strike first in promotion duel with Beau Vallon
Muccia moved within touching distance of promotion to the Seychelles Football Federation Championship League after producing a composed and clinical attacking display to defeat Beau Vallon 5-3 in a pulsating first leg of the Championship League play-off at Stad Linite on Thursday.
Muccia, who compete in League One and finished as runners-up this season following last year’s relegation, are now on the brink of an immediate return to the top tier after a performance full of attacking intent and resilience.
Beau Vallon, who ended their Championship campaign in ninth place with 16 points, made the perfect start when Hery Rasolofonimanana struck in the third minute to silence the League One side and briefly raise hopes of a home advantage to defend in the return leg.
However, Muccia responded with authority and pace.
