Youths across Seychelles benefit from SNYC holiday programmes |25 April 2026

As pupils from various schools are now on holidays, a number of organisations and groups are putting together holiday activities to cater for pupils and students of all ages.
One such organisation is the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC), the organisation whose mandate is to oversee youth development and provide equal opportunities for the physical, artistic, spiritual, and educational advancement of young people.
The SNYC April Holiday programme is being held across various regions, including Praslin and La Digue, ensuring that youths across the islands have access to a safe environment during the holidays, through which they can acquire new skills and interact with their peers.
Denyse Jean, senior programme officer with SNYC, is coordinating the activity for the Anse Royale Youth Hub. Their programme started on Monday, April 20, and included various craft-based activities from recycled, marketing skills sessions, home economic sessions, as well as a tree-planting activity at the National Biodiversity Centre, Barbarons on Thursday. Some of the sessions are being facilitated by Dianne Victor, who owns and runs her own craft business.
