Socga donates copies of commemorative coffee book to education ministry
On the occasion of World book and Copyright day yesterday, celebrating the promotion and the enjoyment of books and literature, the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association donated copies of its commemorative coffee book, celebrating its 45th anniversary, to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development to be distributed in primary and secondary schools.
The book highlights 45 years of Seychelles’ participation at the Olympic Games since 1980, as well as Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association’s (Socga) involvement in the Commonwealth Games since 1990. Within its pages are stories of commitment, sacrifice, perseverance, and achievement – stories of Seychellois athletes who carried our flag with honour and determination before the world. Thus, it will serve as important resources for students taking part in national activities, including the Olympic quiz and public speaking competitions organised by Socga.
