Pointe Larue secondary school win the WOSITA Foundation Alphonsine's memorial cup

The WOSITA Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, and the National Sports Council organised an inter-school basketball championship for secondary school girls yesterday at the Victoria Gymnasium.

Sponsored by WOSITA UK ambassadors and AMSA Healthcare, the championship received support from the HotShots women’s basketball team, Ministry of Health’s paramedics team and coaches/PE teachers from the eight schools that took part.

In was a day of competition and fun as seven teams (over 70 girls) took part in the event with cheerleaders from HotShots women’s basketball team providing entertainment during intervals throughout the championship.
