Eco-school programme empowers youth with once-in-a-lifetime Aldabra experience
The Eco-School programme, a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development and the Seychelles Islands Foundation, continues to play a vital role in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students across the country.
Designed to encourage schools to adopt environmentally responsible practices, the programme actively engages students in conservation focused activities. As part of the programme, deserving students and teachers are awarded a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Aldabra – a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) world heritage site that remains largely inaccessible to most Seychellois due to its remote location and high travel costs.
