Mavericks dispatch Victoria City
League One side Mavericks became the final team to qualify for the Seychelles Football Federation Cup quarterfinals after an impressive 2-1 victory over Championship League side Victoria City. The thrilling –round-of-16 encounter was played at Stad Linite on Saturday.
Despite being favourites on paper, Victoria City struggled to assert control as Mavericks made an aggressive start, dominating possession and pinning the former deep in their own half during the opening exchange.
