Seychelles joins SADC board of auditors
Auditor General of Seychelles, Gamini Herath, has been appointed to the board of auditors of Southern African Development Community institutions for a three-year term effective from 2026.
Seychelles will assume the chair of the board of auditors (BOA) in 2028. The BOA is constituted as the external audit body in line with article 29 of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) treaty, and mandated to audit the headquarters, other organs and satellite offices of the regional body. The types of audits that BOA is mandated to perform include financial, performance and IT audits.
