Whale shark photographed in both Madagascar and Seychelles
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus), the largest fish on the planet, remains one of the ocean’s greatest mysteries.
Despite reaching lengths of more than 18 metres, these gentle giants are elusive, slow‑moving, and notoriously difficult to study.
Found in warm tropical waters, they gather seasonally where plankton blooms provide rich feeding grounds.
