The proposed national budget for 2026 was officially gazetted on Tuesday January 27, 2026, through the Appropriation Bill, 2026.

The bill outlines how the government plans to spend public funds to run the country for the year ending December 31, 2026. According to the bill, the government is seeking approval to spend a total of R11.84 billion (R11,842,682, 521) from the Consolidated Fund.
