Arid calls for respect for journalists and responsible public debate
The Association for Rights, Information and Democracy (Arid) is calling on the public to respect the work of journalists and to refrain from personal attacks against media personnel.
In a press release issued recently, Arid said that while citizens have the right to express their views and to criticise media reports, there are clear limits – “it is not acceptable to attack, insult or intimidate journalists”, the association stated.
