IOT honours long-serving staff |21 December 2019
Indian Ocean Tuna (IOT), part of the Thai-Union Group celebrated and honoured its long-serving employees during its annual Long-Service Awards Ceremony, held on Saturday December 14 at the NSC Hall, Roche Caiman.
A whopping 168 employees were recognised for their hard work, dedication, commitment and loyalty to the organisation, in the presence of IOT board members, management team, their peers and Minister for Employment, Immigration and Civil Status Myriam Telemaque.
Ten employees were recognised for dedicating 30 years towards the tuna-processing giant, while five were rewarded for 25 years of service. A further 60 were awarded for being with IOT for 20 years, with a further 93 awarded for 10 years of continuous employment with the company.
In his address, the general manager of IOT Nichol Elizabeth reaffirmed the value which IOT attaches to its workforce, “the backbone of the company”. Thanking them for their hard work, he vowed to continuously build on the organisation’s strengths and to never leave the employees behind.
