President salutes SDF as guardians of sovereignty and peace

The Office of the President has extended its warmest greetings and profound appreciation to all members of the Seychelles Defence Forces as the nation commemorated Seychelles Defence Forces Day yesterday.

On this momentous occasion, President Patrick Herminie, in his capacity as commander-in-chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF), paid tribute to the Seychelles People's Defence Forces (SPDF) who, 44 years ago, protected the integrity and security of our nation during a grave threat to our sovereignty. This defining moment tested the resilience and determination of the men and women of the Defence Forces, who stood firm in protection of our nation and our people.
