Linda Hoareau, a senior citizen residing in Fair View, La Misère, is a proud single mother of two and the driving force behind one of Seychelles’ well-known poetry associations.

Soft-spoken yet strong in presence, Ms Hoareau describes herself simply but powerfully: “I am an independent woman.” Her journey from a humble childhood to becoming a passionate advocate for poetry reflects resilience, creativity, and an undying belief in personal growth.
