Escaped inmate Rodney Freminot now back in custody |04 November 2025

• Jefferson Marie remains at large

The Seychelles Prison Service has confirmed that inmate Rodney Freminot, an inhabitant of Anse Aux Pins, who escaped from Montagne Posée prison earlier yesterday has been recaptured and is now back in custody.

A press release from the Seychelles prison service said Freminot was apprehended late yesterday following a joint operation between the Seychelles prison service and the Seychelles police force, shortly after his escape was reported.
