Green sea turtles make a strong comeback
The world has a reason to celebrate – the graceful marine reptile familiar to Seychelles’ beaches, the green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), has just achieved a major conservation milestone.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has officially reclassified the species from “Endangered” to “Least Concern” globally, thanks to decades of sustained protection and recovery work.
