“The Association for Rights, Information and Democracy (Arid) would like to congratulate President-elect Dr Patrick Herminie and the outgoing President Wavel Ramkalawan for their peaceful participation in the election process.

“Arid commends the Electoral Commission for the smooth and effective organisation of the presidential elections. Congratulations to the people of Seychelles for your peaceful and active participation in such an important democratic exercise. We urge supporters and leaders of both political parties to maintain a serene and peaceful environment and to promote national unity in our country.
