Dr Patrick Herminie records second-lowest margin win 

United Seychelles leader Dr Patrick Herminie has gone from opposition challenger to be the sixth President of the Republic of Seychelles after winning the run-off held over three days.

Outscoring incumbent President Wavel Ramkalawan in 18 of the 26 districts, Dr Herminie won 34,389 votes or 52.7% compared to his opponent’s 30,823 votes or 47.3% for a historic victory.
