First day of road closure runs smoothly as boulder mitigation works begin
The first day of the 15-day road closure in Beolière, Port Glaud, passed without any major issues, authorities confirmed yesterday.
The closure, which started at 8am yesterday, is part of urgent mitigation works to remove an unstable 200-tonne boulder, and stabilise the surrounding slope, following a rockfall incident on September 15.
