The entrepreneurial spirit of Kamala Etienne   |06 September 2025

At every special bazaar or fair organised across the islands, there is usually a small stall that catches the eye. A collection of handcrafted jewelry – each piece a unique expression of colour and design laid out with care. At the centre of it all is a warm smile and quiet confidence that belong to the artist herself, Kamala Etienne.

“I am from St Louis. For my primary education, I went to Bel Eau school and then moved on to Mont Fleuri secondary,” she said, her voice as gentle as the hands that create her art.
