• Eight candidates in the race
The order in which candidates will appear on the ballot paper for the 2025 presidential election was decided yesterday evening, during the official draw at the Electoral Commission of Seychelles (ECS) headquarters, Mont Fleuri.
Eight candidates, representing five political parties and three independents, were confirmed following the close of nomination day, and later took part in the draw. Each candidate was invited to pick a ball, which determined their position on the ballot paper.
