10 daily important reminders

There are no constants in life, and on a daily basis, we experience unpleasant and overwhelming situations that completely put us off balance and lose direction and focus. Today, let’s go through a few important reminders that we should remember on a daily basis as we navigate life’s challenges.
1. Always remind yourself: You did not go to sleep hungry last night. You had a choice of what to wear today. You have access to clean drinking water. You can read and possibly you have access to internet. The only secret to be happy is to choose to be grateful for the little things around you.
2. Never wait on being happy. Use any moment you get to be happy. Don’t be among those who wait all day for 5pm, all week for Friday, all year for the holidays and possibly all their lives for happiness.
3. Don’t wait to be seen to do a kind thing. Most of the kindest gestures you will ever make will never be seen by many. But do them anyway because this is what matters.
4. Always believe in small but consistent effort. Never overwhelm yourself. Simply do what you can right now. It’s almost next to impossible to lift a thousand pounds all at once, but it’s superbly easy to lift one pound a thousand times.
5. Always remember: Life’s greatest disappointments happen when we try to control what we do not have power over. So as much as possible try to control only what you do have power over. This is when you will witness real life changes in your life and avoid disappointments. You cannot calm the storms of life. Calm yourself and the storms will eventually pass.
6. Remember, sometimes letting go could be the best thing you have done to yourself in a very long period of time. You don’t have to win every argument or attend any drama you’re invited to. Give yourself the space to value your time.
7. Always appreciate and acknowledge the small blessings of life. Count your blessings by day.
8. Cut down on your daily expectations from people. Expectations from other people is a major source of disappointment and frustration.
9. Be patient and believe in yourself, in the end you will ultimately be where you need to be. Great things will only happen in your life if you believe that right now you’re in the right place for your next big chapter of life.
10. Remember to be thankful for every kind gesture extended to you and to those who go out of their way to move your life in a positive trajectory.
