Tech without touch: How digital life is quietly changing human interaction in Seychelles

Like every other country, the advancement of technology means that there is a generational gap that is further broadened when what was once a luxury, continues to expand exponentially and turn into something essential.
Seychelles is no different to this slow rapid erosion or what some might say, cultural evolution due to technology. What was once used solely as a mean of work, such as the internet, has turned into the main form of entertainment for not only the youth, but even the older generation. The rapid rise of applications such as TikTok, although controversial in the detrimental dopamine rush that it gives to the younger generation, is seen as a small content filled algorithmic based entity that can keep the population updated on the news or even their favourite topics.
