Popular and outgoing fashion trends in Seychelles for 2020 |06 December 2019
A new year always comes with the promise of new trends in the fashion industry, and with that also comes the list of trends that will be shunned.
As 2019 comes to a close, Seychelles NATION got a preview of the trends that will be proving popular with the locals in the new year, and those that are predicted to be stowed away in the backs of our wardrobes.
Julia Gedeon, at the well-loved and famous ‘Julie’s Boutique’ in Deeva’s Arcade in Victoria, gives us her predictions below.
Julie’s Boutique, which has been successfully running for the last 20 years in Seychelles, targets ladies aged between 12 - 60 + years of age and sells mostly shoes, bags, accessories and clothes, including work and party attire, as well as casual, evening and beach wear.
The outlet is renowned because of the well-loved selection of fashion items on offer, and the emphasis on always placing customers’ needs and wants first.
Ms Gedeon, who personally shops for every piece sold at the shop, says that Seychellois women trust her for her knowledge of the fashion industry, for her eye, passion and talent.
She prides herself on knowing how to effectively put pieces of clothing together, in having an understanding of what matches and knowing when something is the latest ‘must-have’.
