Football: Cosafa under-20 tournament Seychelles thrashed 8-0 by Angola |05 December 2019

Seychelles have been hammered 8-0 by Angola in the opening match of the Cosafa Under-20 tournament.

Playing in group C at the Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka, Zambia, last year’s semifinalists Angola opened the scores in the 7th minute through Fernando dos Santos.

Ambrosini Salvador doubled the lead three minutes later before Miguel André Afonso made it 3-0 in the 18th minute.

It was 5-0 by half-time with Santos Kiaku getting the fourth and André Afonso netting his second of the match and Angola's fifth just before the break.

In the second half, Salvador got his second goal of the match before Tangu Gastão and Camilo Mbule added their team’s sixth and seventh goals.

Benvindo Afonso was voted man of the match after putting up a good performance.

After yesterday’s game, Angola top group C with three points while Seychelles lay bottom of the table as the remaining group C game will be played between Mozambique and ESwatini at the Sunset stadium this morning.
