Action back at the Palais des Sports

As of last weekend, volleyball action switched back to the Palais des Sports at Roche Caïman from the La Promenade Gymnasium, following the completion of renovation works on the former, promising more quality action, as well as a more conducive atmosphere for fans and officials.

With the La Promenade Gymnasium presently under renovation as part of the preparations for the upcoming 13th Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l'Océan Indien Games which will take place from August 1-10, volleyball was on a stalemate for months, declining the level of action, something which was obvious during the weekend matches.

With the resumption of the national leagues, the ball was set rolling with two matches counting for women’s division two league, precisely between Airwaves Sisters and La Digue Sisters on court B, and Sisterhood against Espoir on court A, while Arsu Ladies and Premium Cobras Ladies set off the women’s division one league.
