Seychelles 3-4 to Guatemala
Team Seychelles let slipped a two-goal lead to lose their second group 3-4 to Guatemala at the Paradise Arena in the ongoing Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup 2025.
In the group A match, Seychelles took an early lead though Brandon Labrosse, before Remy De Ketelare double the lead to put the Paradise Boys 2-0 up.
Miguel Gonsalez then pulled one back for Guatemala (2-1), only for Terrence Amade to restore Seychelles’ two-goal lead (3-1).
Unfortunately for Seychelles, Gonsalez scored three more goals to give Guatemala a 4-3 victory, killing all Seychelles’ hope of progression in the competition, after losing their opening match to Belarus on Thursday.
Seychelles’ next match will be on Monday against Japan. Belarus are presently group leaders following two victories in as many matches played, followed by Japan who have so far registered a win and loss, similar to Guatemala who are third in the group, leaving hosts Seychelles at the bottom following two defeats.
