Seychellois scientist encounters icebergs for the first time on South Sandwich Islands expedition
Sheena Talma, a young marine scientist from Seychelles, recently took part in a scientific expedition to the remote South Sandwich Islands. Known for their harsh weather and dramatic landscapes, the islands offered Ms Talma a unique and unforgettable experience — her first time seeing icebergs in person.
Sharing her awe on social media, Ms Talma also shared a few photos with our newspaper and told us: “It was unbelievable! I was just jumping out of joy an awe!”
