Yesterday morning, President Wavel Ramkalawan, chaired the final coordination meeting with the local organising committee, key partners, and stakeholders ahead of the Internationale de Football Association Beach Soccer World Cup, scheduled to take place in the country between May 1-11, 2025

Held at State House, the meeting confirmed that Seychelles’ preparations are at 100%, with all

operational areas fully ready for the historic tournament.

President Ramkalawan expressed his extreme satisfaction with the work accomplished and affirmed that the country is fully set to host a world-class event.

The president commended the exceptional dedication, teamwork, and professionalism demonstrated by the local organising committee, government ministries, private sector partners, volunteers, and all involved agencies.

“Our preparations are complete. Seychelles is ready to welcome the world. I am extremely proud

of the dedication shown by everyone and confident that we will deliver an unforgettable Fifa

Beach Soccer World Cup 2025. It is now time to showcase our island spirit, unity, and

hospitality on the global stage,” said President Ramkalawan.

The final meeting provided comprehensive updates covering infrastructure, security, transport,

accommodation, health services, ceremonies, and overall event coordination.

All stakeholders reiterated their full operational readiness and enthusiasm to kick off the tournament.

The Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025, the first to be hosted in Africa, will

officially commence on May 1, 2025, bringing together 16 of the world’s top beach soccer

nations for a spectacular display of sport and culture.

The government of Seychelles encourages all Seychellois to embrace this proud moment and

extend a warm welcome to all international teams, officials, and guests.
