The Absa Premier League’s 2024/25 season was one which few predicted, from last minute downfalls, to legendary comebacks and much more.

The season set the tone from the start when PTL Bazar Brothers beat the prior season’s runners up Foresters. That victory marked PTL Bazar Brothers as contenders, whilst it also indicated that in the league there were no favourites. There were few other surprises in the first round of matches as all the teams who had done well during the prior season earned victories early in the season.
