Foresters, LightStars reach final

Defending champions Foresters defeated Anse Reunion 2-0 with two late goals to set up a Seychelles Football Federation Cup final showdown with LightStars who eliminated Côte d’Or 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in normal time and extra-time.

In the first semifinal of the day, Foresters were tasked with an away match against Anse Reunion who were previously the most feared team in the league but had lost the lead in the Absa Premier League to Praslin team Côte d’Or last weekend. With a chance at the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) Cup, Anse Reunion lined up against SFF Cup defending champions Foresters who came prepared for a war. The two had met on two occasions this season with Anse Reunion defeating Foresters 1-0 after they had been held to a 1-1 draw in the first round.
