Three inner island sides in final four

Three sides from inner islands, namely Anse Reunion, Côte d’Or, and LightStars will feature in today’s semifinals of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) Cup, with Foresters being the only Mahe club on the fixtures.

Foresters will play against Anse Reunion at the La Digue sports complex, while Stad Amitié will host the Praslin derby between Côte d’Or and LightStars.

Anse Reunion

One of the favourites for the tournament, based on their lengthy reign at the top of the Absa Premier League, Anse Reunion have had ups and downs on their way to the semifinal. With a dominant first round 5-0 victory over Baie Lazare, things only got better in the next round when they proved their worth against defending league champions St Louis in a 2-0 win.
