Judo: Black belt grading and seminar
Local black belt holders gear up for grading sessions
Since yesterday, the Seychelles Judo Federation, in collaboration with the International Judo Federation and the African Judo Union, is hosting a black belt grading and seminar for judokas, referees, and coaches eligible for first to fourth dan grading.
The event – which is line with the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the African Judo Union (AJU) updated regulations – is aimed, firstly at enabling judokas, referees, and coaches to achieve their deserved ranks and official recognition, and secondly to help the participants in adapting to the updated IJF and AJU grading rules.
It is also to improve technical and practical skills through hands-on sessions led by IJF and AJU-approved officials, while it is also to foster collaboration and networking among judokas, referees, and coaches from regional federations.
